With biking becoming an ever popular mode of transportation around the world, rider safety is going to become and increasinly important aspect of your ride to work. Although his bike hair is pretty ordinary, the concept is a good one and makes the decision to take your helmet with you shopping, going to the cafe or school a lot easier when you know that your helmet will be where you left it when you get back.

When time is money, and you have plenty of it, this is the preferred way to travel. "Japanese Mori Building Co is set to launch a 30-minute helicopter and limo service between the central district of Akasaka and Narita International Airport that will cut the travel time by an hour. Moreover, the commuters will enjoy a luxury travel lying comfortably on the rich-brown calf-leather seats of the $10 million EC135 by French luxury brand Hermes. Hailed as “l’Helicoptere par Hermes,” the luxury chopper will take about 22 flights a day and charge $790 (75,000 yen) for a one-way trip." (Bornrich.org)

Obviously not for all of us, but when faced with the inconvenience of sitting in traffic versus flying above it I know which one most executives would prefer. Recently there have been other premium forms of business travel such as the luxury limo bus that includes wireless internet, desks, power outlets and leather chairs. see http://www.bauerswi-drive.org

As they say on Dragons Den, if you can save people time and provide convenience your surely onto something interesting.

Love this concept | Build your own bike | Urban Outfitters Bike Shop

Here's a great concept building upon the increasing number of people self-propelling themselves to work each day. The Urban Outfitters Bike Store allows you to customize pretty much every component of your bike. The site tells you the expected build time and for a standard price of $399 USD. I just wish they delivered to international destinations.

Hopefully a few other manufacturers of products that also consist of several components that are interchangeable and modular take note.
